Extreme Warfare Revenge

Adam Ryland

Overview:
Today, there are very few (or none at all) freeware games about wrestling. Well, that is except Extreme Warfare Revenge. This wrestling simulation tasks you with making your wrestling management company as popular and successful as possible.

You can choose from the typical wrestling shows like CHIKARA, RAW, TNA, and SmackDown and are then given almost total control over what goes on during the shows. You control feuds, tag teams, stables and, of course, what wrestlers work for you.

The game revolves around the success of weekly shows and the acquiring of famous wrestlers, while keeping your current wrestlers happy. This is no easy task, as wrestlers tend to get unhappy for unknown reasons! Oh, and try not to go bankrupt, either!

Extreme Warfare Revenge isn't without its flaws. For one, you don't know when a wrestler's contract from another promotion is going to end. Also if you start a game with TNA and another with RAW, the contracts of wrestlers are not the same.

On the good side of things, this game has 4 difficulties to choose from: easy, medium, hard and rock hard. Each week is different from the other so you're constantly provided with new challenges.

Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay is nearly perfect. The point removed is because of some small bugs that can be easily fixed.

Difficulty: 9/10
The difficulty, like the gameplay, is very good. With the database editable in any way you want and 4 different difficulty levels to choose from, you have complete control over what you do.

Overall: 9/10
Overall this is a game that can be addictive to wrestling lovers. Despite no real graphics, it never gets boring and has very good replay value. I highly recommend it.
