| CentiPongJayenkai | Brutally hard and unexpectedly well made, CentiPong just might wriggle into a spot in your heart. You know, that one spot right between your girlfriend and your mom.
You have a paddle that you control with the mouse on the left side of the screen and the centipedes are all on the right. The goal, of course, is to hit them with your ball and destroy them. Your ball moves at a ridiculous speed, though, which makes it very difficult to follow sometimes. This is made even worse by the fact that most powerups that spawn are bad things such as reducing paddle size, speeding up the game, and even causing the screen to rotate spasmically. Thankfully, the pieces of the centipede that you knock off also act like balls, albeit destructible ones.
CentiPong is a great freebie arcade mashup which is quite fun, even for extended play. Its brutal difficulty may turn off some people (especially considering I could barely make it past the third level), but the work that went into it well makes up for this. |
